hi darkaura i gotta question right up your alley... is accessing the administration panel just for you guys or is it available for the normal registered users also, i wanted to change the color of my name to something more standoutish than just green. i have tried to do the admin thingy but it did not grant me access so i figured that us normals were locked out of that feature. if that is so could i put in a request of change of color to my name to .....lets say red? ...for the moment, may decide to change it later if that is ok? is there any way i can change the color of the little quips that i put at the bottom of my posts to differentiate it from the main body? it changes all the time so a simple copy and paste would not do.and a copy and paste to a word program seems a bit excessive and time consuming, opps just tried it and it does not work....

And yes accessing the admin panel is just for admins.

I looked into it I couldn't find any way of changing the name colour except if I changed everyone's. But you can change the colour of your shadetree comment if you wanted to. You see that little button with a different colours, you highlight the word or words that you want to change color click that and choose a color for example.

Roses are red, violets are blue.

You get the idea. Hope that helps.

ok i got the idea of changing the color of the name from the different color names from between the admin group and the non-admin group, are you guys able, in the admin group, to change the color and font on an individual basis of your names or is it an automatic, all inclusive, thing when you become a member of the admin group?

hmmm i take it then that changing the fonts would also be "all for one and one for all" type of approach for the non-admin group and not be done on an individual basis? (yeppers silly questions thats me lol) will try to do better in the future.

also would you consider changing the color and font for the whole group? the green name kinda blends into the background and it would add a little flash to the page (help make us registered users feel important too), and i am with the ladies on this one, a little flash never hurts. i suggest maybe asking Neightmaire's help with the change, she uses the forum (it gives her the chance to take part in the building of this forum, her 2 cents worth be that as it may and some bragging rights also) , women generally have a better eye for that kinda thing, and i would go along with what ever she would pick out. (i know she will do a classy job of it).

For example I want to color a previous post IE:

this is the best-est forum I've ever seen.

what I would do is is hit edit, once that done I get the edit box. for example:

this is the best-est forum I've ever seen.

Now what I would like to colour the post is a dark red so the tag for that ends up being {color=darkred}{/color} which would be at the end of the post like so:

this is the best-est forum I've ever seen.{color=darkred}{/color}

so now what I would do is take the {color=darkred}{/color} tags and put it around:

this is the best-est forum I've ever seen.

so it looks like so:

{color=darkred}this is the best-est forum I've ever seen.{/color}

and you get the following results"

this is the best-est forum I've ever seen.

hey Darkaura i just found out the above method also works for the icons also, they can be placed anywhere in a previous post doing the copy and paste method

are you able to add to the list of icons in the post's reply window? if so could you add one that goes boom and a fireworks one if you can find nice ones of those
